Lately I’ve been feeling like there just isn’t enough time to tackle everything on my to-do list! Anyone else? On weeks or even months like these, especially around the holidays, it’s so easy to get overwhelmed. I thought now would be the perfect time to share some girl boss tips and tricks to help you stay focused and make it through your goals. These are things I’ve learned along the way that help me get shit done while remaining sane and stress-free.
1. Start OR end your day with a workout
I know sometimes getting that workout in may seem like the last priority on your list, but we sometimes forget that it’s actually the most important one! Sweating it outwill not only release endorphins that will make us feel good, but it will also make you more focused, energized and ready to tackle whatever comes your way. Your body will thank you and you’ll be so glad you didn’t skip out on yourself.
2. Clean space
This is easier said than done because there are ALWAYS things to be done around the house- laundry, cooking, dishes, etc. But, when things are organized, it’s so much easier to focus and get things done. If you’re overwhelmed in your home, clutter may be an issue and it might be time to start detoxing (getting rid of things you don’t use or need anymore).
3. Shower & get ready!
On busy days, which is almost every single day, you don’t need a full face of makeup, but some bronzer and winged eyeliner will make you feel good and ready to tackle my to-do list.
4. Make a list
This may sound obvious but I couldn’t go a day without making a to- do list! I use them for everything. From daily lists, errands, Christmas shopping, planning my blog posts.. you name it, there is a list for it! I like to contain them all in my planner, which I linked at the bottom of this post. When you write everything down, you can temporarily remove it from your head and free up space to think and do more!
There’s something so nice about checking things off the list. It always helps me feel like I am accomplishing things, even on the busiest of days when my list never seems to end.
5. Quality alone time
With all the rush constantly around us, it can sometimes be difficult to schedule time to ourselves. This could be anything from a workout, hot bath, reading a book, or watching a movie. Whatever makes you content, do that! & always remember we can’t be our greatest self if we aren’t giving ourselves love. It’s amazing what a little time to yourself can do. Even if it’s just a few minutes per day!
6. Live in the moment
Instead of worrying about the next three things on the list, just focus on accomplishing the task at hand. This could be the most difficult of all, but try and be in the moment. I really strive to do this in all aspects of life, but in chaos especially.
