Today officially kicks off day 1 of being back on my healthy grind!!  In order for me to get back into the swing of things I really need to prepare myself mentally.  By giving myself enough time to process it I know that I can start fresh with a new mindset and ready to tackle it !  Lately I haven’t been feeling that great –  I’ve been groggy, overly tired and feeling way less energized than I should!  There’s been so much on my plate but I’m putting my health as priority  so I wanted to share this post with y’all to help hold myself accountable. If there’s anyone who is needed the boost to get started,  I know I could be really hard to find ways to motivate you but if you are interested in joining me send me a DM and we can create our own group and do this thing together !

1. Meal Planning

Each week I’ll be looking up recipes  on Pinterest of what I want to prepare for the week and heading to the grocery store to make sure that I get all the ingredients necessary to prepare all of my meals. This way I’ll know exactly what I’m putting into my body and I won’t eat anything other than what I prepare.  I’ll also have all the ingredients handy so I can’t make an excuse not to make it!  Why do you put in your body is 90% of what will make you lose weight throughout the process !  Of course working out and getting a sway is necessary but as long as you’re eating clean foods, you will shed the pounds even if you don’t work out. TRUST ME.

2. Mindset

Mindset really is everything when you’re trying to lose weight. If you don’t want it bad enough then it’s not going to happen.  I try to think of a reason why I want to start working out again or losing weight and every time I feel the lack of motivation I think about my “why.”  Why I could be anything from you wanting to look better or feel better or maybe you have a special event that you want to fit in a certain dress for.

3. Sweat

Plan your workouts!  You can use either your phone calendar or your planner to schedule in your workouts ! Once you mark it down, take it as serious as anything else in your planner. Even setting aside 30 minutes 4/5 times a week is enough to get a sweat in and keep you feeling good! Working out helps reduce, stress, anxiety and is great for your mental health, as well as physical health of course!

4. Music

there are so many ads out there now for listening to music on your phone, iPod or Apple Watch!  I use Amazon Music which I pay 10.99 for monthly & it’s so worth it because I can listen to whatever I want, wherever I am! Make a good playlist and bump that ish when you need a boost!!

5. Water

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!! I cannot say this enough! Giving your body the amount of H2O it needs on a daily basis will really change how you feel overall!  Drinking enough water will help prevent headaches and will give your body the oxygen it needs!

Green Juice Recipe

I wanted to share this detox juice blend that I made using my juicer! I am going to drink it every morning for 3days a week (Monday-Wednesday) to kickstart my body and create a healthy routine!

Here’s What You Need:

  • Kale
  • Celery
  • Lemons
  • Ginger
  • Fresh Mint
  • Cucumber

Juice it all & mix with half part juice, half water!

Pro Tip: Add some cayenne pepper to spice it up!
