Life Hacks that will Save you Time

This post is short and sweet but I realized that I have some pretty cool tricks up my sleeve that whenever I share with people, I am always getting asked how I know these things. It made for a good post idea because I thought some of these tips or random “life hacks” as I like to call them will come in handy one day and can help save you time or cut corners to make your life a little easier the way they have with me!

1. Skincare

Before heading outside for the day on a hot one, out SPF on before getting dressed! That way, your skin is ready to soak up the sun without the damage!

2. On-the-go

Keep some protein bars/ easy snacks in your purse at all times (you never know when you’ll become instantly hangry)

3 . Eyeshadow

When you are on the go and don’t have time to your make up at home (which lately seems to be all the time), I use my Tarte “Tartiest Pro Glow to Go” palette as an alternative to my eyeshadow. I use the top color “gleam” in the corner near my tear ducts. I always like to put the brightest shade here to really make my eyes pop. Then I will go in with the last color “chisel” in windshield wiper motions across the top of my lid for the base color. Lastly, I use the center color “burst” to put on the main portion of my lid.

4. Shopping

Whenever I am out shopping, I am always on the hunt for some discounts and coupons. I usually don’t have time to research coupons before hand, but when I am waiting online, I’ll open up the RetailMeNot app on my phone and search the store I am at to browse what coupons they have currently. Most of the time I always find a coupon I can use! If I can save some $, why wouldn’t I?!? Also, would you guys like me to do a whole post on how I save money when I’m shopping in stores and online? I have a ton of hacks that can be compiled into a whole post so let me know!

5. Save time

Mornings for me can be rough- I am more of a night person, so waking up early can be dreadful, especially with the recent cooler temps. As soon as I do wake-up though, all I want is nice coffee, but the last thing I want to do is actually make it when I can barely open my eyes. I make my coffee the night before, let it cool down, put it in a glass bottle and pop it in the fridge. Since I always drink my coffee iced anyway, this works out for me. But if you like it hot, you can just pop it in the microwave for a minute.

6. Invest in a universal piece of clothing

This kimono has come in handy more times than I can count! I wore it to the beach over a bathing suit, over a dress at a function and with jeans and a tank! It can also be worn over a sundress or with shorts and a tee.
